Under no circumstances is there any claim made that the product Epi-Temp with its Phase Change Material (PCM) will ensure complete preservation of and effectiveness of the medication epinephrine in epinephrine auto-injectors stored in the pack. There are many factors contributing to the eventual effectiveness of a medication in addition to temperature storage conditions in limited time periods, including variables in the manufacturing process, prior storage conditions, the technique of administration, severity of the underlying condition being treated, among other things. The utility of the Epi-Temp pack is based on prior testing to keep its contents within the recommended temperature excursions for only up to two hours when continually exposed to ambient temperatures of about 10-15° F outside of maximum temperature excursions.
